Kia Motors America (KMA) announced today that it has grown at a staggering rate this past quarter – selling over 150,000 vehicles for the first time in the companies’ history. This figure is nearly a 14% increase from this time last year, and is continuing the rapid growth trend seen from Kia for the past two years. This makes Kia Motors the fastest growing car company in the US.

Several of the new and highly popular vehicles made in Kia’s large Georga plant – the Optima midsize sedan and Sorento CUV – accounted a large majority of recent sales. In the 2009-2011 seasons, Kia released more new car models than any other manufacturer, and has grown its reputation substantially for styling, safety, technology and economy. Kia’s extensive current lineup includes the Sorento CUV, Optima and Optima Hybrid midsize sedan, the Sportage compact CUV, the Soul, the Forte compact sedan and 5-door compact hatchback, the Forte Koup coupe, the Rio sub-compacts and finally the Sedona minivan.
