The Subaru lineup hasn’t changed much in the last few years; consisting of the Impreza, Legacy, Outback, Forester, and the late but great Tribeca these models have long dominated Subaru of America. However, that may be changing very soon.
Subaru has annouced the 2012 Subaru XV, a direct competitor for Honda’s new CR-Z sport utility vehicle. Expected to begin production in 2012, with approximately 5000 units to be produced annually, the XV will use Subaru’s famous 2.0l engine coupled with an automatic transmission. It will also be produced in 4×4 wheel drive and all wheel drive. The car should easily accommodate 5 passengers with it’s 5-door design.
