With the rising costs of living nowadays, a lot of people in our community do not have the money to get their children the things that they need.  The concern of automotive safety has never been greater than it is today, and when it comes to children you can never be too careful.

Rimrock KIA knows this, and so on February 14th Rimrock KIA, in conjunction with the Billings Police department and American Medical Response, is organizing the drive for car seat safety.

On February 18th, 2012 between 11:00am and 4:00pm stop in at the Rimrock KIA showroom at 412 South 24th Street in Billings, Montana and donate a new child safety seat to this excellent cause.  You’ll be helping parents who are less fortunate as well as their children.

2013 Subaru CrossTrek

Since it’s introduction to the market, the Subaru Impreza Outback has long been Subaru’s best selling crossover.  However, with the ‘Outback’ badge aging, Subaru is looking to release the new latest-and-greatest crossover.

Enter, the 2013 Subaru Crosstrek.  Subaru confirmed earlier this month that the successor to the Impreza Outback Sport.  Rather than being based on the Impreza chassis, this new model will be based on the new Subaru XV.  The Crosstrek will also receive additional ground clearance (8.6 inches in fact), and will get off-road body cladding, much like the current generation of Outback.

Subaru is expecting great sales number from the new Crosstrek, projecting 300,00 annual sales in the United States (almost doubling Outback sales of five years ago).

The targeted non-profits include American Forests, the ASPCA, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Meals On Wheels Association of America and Special Olympics. Subaru will also contribute up to $250,000 to designated charities via Facebook community votes. The company has donated nearly $15 million to charitable causes during the three years since the program’s creation.

Subaru has invited the Facebook community to direct up to $250,000 in additional support to the charities by participating when they visit the Share the Love Charities tab on the Subaru of America Facebook page. There users can select one of the participating charities and submit a vote for that charity to receive another $1 donation from Subaru. Participants may then share the site with friends and see what vote percentage their pick has received.

“Share the Love is rooted in our commitment to our customers and the causes they care about the most,” said Alan Bethke, director, marketing communications, Subaru of America. “We are pleased to continue the program for a fourth year and are excited about the expansion to the Facebook community.”

American Forests restores and protects rural and urban forests worldwide as the oldest national conservation nonprofit in the U.S. – the only one focused exclusively on forests.

The ASPCA or American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals works to rescue animals from abuse, pass humane laws and share resources with animal shelters across the country.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, brightening the lives of over 212,000 medically challenged kids in the United States since 1980.

The Meals On Wheels Association of America seeks end senior hunger in America by offering home-delivered-meal services to elders at risk.

The Special Olympics provides year-round sports and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type events for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
